Chapter 1792:
“Lowell! Help!” she cried, her voice a torrent of anguish. “Tell them it was an accident—I never meant for this to
happen! Getout of this wretched place—I can’t stand it here!”
Her sobs painted her as the wounded party, a portrait of woe.
Lowell gently disentangled himself from her grasping hands. Fixing her with an impassive gaze, he spoke in
measured tones, “Dolores, you're no longer a child. Stop acting like one, begging for my rescue. When you've
erred, it's tto own up to it.”
Dolores’s eyes widened in disbelief. “What are you saying?” she snapped, her voice sharp with defiance. “Are
you suggesting | should confess to something | didn’t intend? | told you—I didn’t mean to strike them with the
car! It was an accident!”
Lowell's response was cool and cutting. “Do you honestly think anyone will buy that story?”
“Why wouldn't they believe me?” Dolores shot back, her temper flaring like a storm on the horizon.
“You lingered near Jayden’s villa for a full hour,” Lowell said, his voice steady but heavy with accusation. “Then,
the moment you saw Tracy and Shaun step outside, you gunned the engine and plowed right into them.” He
drew a ragged breath before pressing on. “Was your hatred for her so consuming? She was carrying my child! Do

Dolores stood rooted to the spot, stunned into silence. She hadn't considered the baby—not truly.
Her sole desire was to keep Tracy from marrying into her family. The loss of Tracy’s unborn child was never her
intention. All she had craved, with a fierce and single-minded yearning, was Tracy’s demise. And yet, while Tracy
clung to survival, the child she bore did not.
Lowell exhaled deeply, steeling himself. “I've spoken with Shaun’s parents. Whatever sentence the court hands
down, you'll face it in full. | won't pull strings to shield you.”
Dolores blinked, emerging from her daze as if waking from a nightmare. “I’m your sister,” she said, her voice
trembling with shock. “And this is how you treat me? You'd letrot in prison?”
Lowell leaned in slightly, his tone resolute. “Exactly. You're my sister, and that’s precisely why you need to face
the music. Our parents coddled you for too long. Now, you'll serve your time—every last second of it. No one is
coming to your rescue.”

“Are you out of your mind?” Dolores demanded, incredulity lacing her words. “I'm your family. This is how you
repay family?”
Lowell inhaled sharply, his patience fraying but his resolve unshaken. “It's because you're family that we can’t
watch you spiral further into ruin. Dolores, use this tbehind bars to look in the mirror and reckon with what
you've done.”
With that, he turned on his heel and strode toward the door.
