Chapter 1870
Kiran's mom was rocking a sky-blue dress with a light shawl draped over her shoulders. She looked just as
stunning and graceful as she always did in photos. In her arms was a tiny baby girl, no older than a year.
"Mom?" Kiran was taken aback.
"Kiran, where's the bottle?" his mom asked, rummaging through the living room.
Just then, the housekeeper appeared from the kitchen with the bottle in hand. "Madam, here it is."
"Oh, it was here all along. Gavequite a scare," his mom said, cradling the baby, Sandy, and calming her
down with the bottle.
"Mom..." Kiran could hardly believe his eyes. The woman before him was indeed his mother... his actual mom.
"What's up?" she asked, noticing the look on Kiran's face. "Are your studies wearing you out? I've told your dad
50 many times not to put so much pressure on you, but he just doesn't listen! Let's ditch today's lessons. You're
already so smart, Kiran. No need to cram all that knowledge."

If Mr. Angelo found out, there'd be hell to pay!
"Why not? He's my kid, and | won't have him suffer," his mom said firmly, scooping up the financial textbooks
from the table. "Kiran, let's hit the amusement park."
"Mom..." Kiran wanted to protest, knowing today's lessons were important. But his mom had already handed
Sandy over to the housekeeper. "I'm taking my son out for sfun. If Caelum's got a problem, he can talk to
me!" she declared.
The secretary looked worried. If Mr. Angelo found out, they'd be in big trouble! Everyone exchanged helpless
glances, not knowing what to do.
Kiran's mom took his hand and led him out. For a moment, Kiran felt a bit dazed. In his memories, his mom was
always like this, but ever since Sandy was born, she hadn't been able to leave her bed. Why... wasn't she
supposed to be gone by now?
Kiran started to question his own memories. Why was his mom still here? Wasn't she supposed to be...
A headache started to build, and the illusions he had taken for reality began to crumble. As if this was how things
were always meant to be.
"Kiran? Are you feeling alright?" His mom bent down to look at him, worry in her eyes. "That Caelum ise getting
too much. Even if he wants to groom you as his successor he should take care of your health! You're still young;
there's plenty of tto learn all that stufflater.”
"Mom... you're still here, and that's amazing." Kiran suddenly hugged his mom tightly.
His mom was caught off guard by the sudden hug. "Oh, you sweet child, I've always been here."
In Kiran's mind, his mom was ten years younger than his dad. His dad always doted on her, treated her like a
beloved child. People would joke that his dad had found himself a young beauty, an old man with a young wife.
But only his mom knew how deeply his dad loved her.
Just then, his dad's call cthrough. His mom glanced at the phone and dismissed it without a second thought.
"Mom..."
"Don't worry about him!" she said, "He's getting old and just loves to meddle."
